The BCABBA has lost a valued and special member of our community and we would like to honour Roseanne's memory with this Memoriam.

R.I.P - Roseanne Blackburn (Desmarais)

Sadly we have been told of the tragic loss of a long time BCABBA Competitor.

Roseanne Blackburn (married name of Desmarais) was killed in a single vehicle automobile accident in Kamloops on Friday September 18th.

It is with great sadness, that at only 35 years of age we lose this Bodybuilding Champion.

Roseanne's Competition History with the BCABBA included:

- BC Provincials 2003 - 3rd place Middleweight Women Bodybuilding
- Western Canadian Naturals 2006 - 1st place middleweight
- BC Provincials 2006 - 3rd place Lightweight
- BC Provincials 2007 - 1st place middleweight

She also competed for the CBBF at Canadian Nationals in 2008, placing 3rd in the middleweight class and again that year at North Americans, placing 4th in Middleweight.

Her other talents included winning many strength competitions, wrestling, MMA, and boxing.

Roseanne also could be found volunteering backstage at many of the BCABBA shows, helping with tanning touch-ups, cheering on fellow competitors, and showing a great support for the BCABBA.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. She was an amazing competitor that will be sadly missed.
